An improved files app:

The on-fillers affair was not included in Google’s previous Files app. It also does not have a shortcut in the app drawer. The Files app in Android 10 is improved on a shortcut. A universal search bar is also available at the top along with a reversed UI, and quick access to other apps.

Wi-Fi sharing via QR code:

A new feature in Google allows us to share Wi-Fi credentials via QR code which was already included in Huawei and Xiaomi smartphones for a long time. With this feature, we can tap on the Wi-Fi connection and click on the share button and is thus easy to use. We can authenticate Wi-Fi with the password or a fingerprint of the phone. The QR code is displayed which needs to be scanned by the friend’s phone to achieve access.

Privacy and security:

In Android 10, significant privacy, and security changes are introduced. When an app is active in the foreground, we can restrict it from accessing the location in Android 10. In Android 10, the storage access permission is also changed and is known as “Scoped storage”. Only the file of external storage can be accessed by the introduction of this permission.

Platform:

A WPA3 encryption protocol technique is supported by Android 10 which provides strong encryption for Wi-Fi. The Dual-SIM dual-standby (DSDS) is also supported by Android 10, at the same time. Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are the ones on which the first DSDS was initially available.

Live caption:

Live caption automatically adds subtitles to podcasts, audio messages, and videos, with one tap. It also adds things we record ourselves. Using on-device machine learning, the real-time captions are created which arrives when the speech is detected.

Smart reply:

The suggested response is available in Android 10 and sometimes even more to our message. A suggested action can also be received for it. Correct directions are also displayed by the Smart Reply feature in Google Maps.

Sound Amplifier:

In Android 10, the sound amplifier is added. It is used by the phone to filter the background noise to fine-tune to how we hear best.

Gesture Navigation:

The gesture navigation in Android 10 is wiser and faster than ever. It facilitates us to move forward and backward, swipes up to view our open apps, and pulls up the home screen super smoothly.

Dark theme:

In Android 10, the dark theme feature is added which becomes active when we enable the battery saver option. It can also be activated through a quick-tile setting. The photos, Google podcasts, and search are also affected by the dark mode. It is one of the most famous Android 10 features.

Privacy controls:

We can control our privacy, in Android 10, by getting a new, smarter control. Using this control means that we can decide when and how the data of our device is shared. Thus, we will be having rest, while the device will be doing the task.

Security updates:

With the help of the Google Play system, in Android 10, we can receive the security updates easily and quickly. Google Play can directly send the updates, privacy fixes, and important security to our phone. The same feature is applicable to other apps too.

Focus Mode:

Focus Mode in Android 10 is an extension of the Digital Wellbeing suite and is an outstanding feature. The Focus Mode was developed with a motive to help the user to eject distracting applications by focusing and holding their notifications.

Family Link:

In the Android 10 version, we can guide our children as they play, learn, and explore online, by setting view app activity, screen time limits, content restrictions, and managing apps. We can also see where they are.
