NIC :- National Integration Council / National Informatics Centre

NIC stands for either National Integration Council or National Informatics Centre. National Integration Council consists of a group of politicians and public figures of India that together address the problems of casteism, communalism, and regionalism in the country. It was formed in the month of October in the year 1961. It is a type of Government advisory body. It serves the country of India. The official language used in Hindi. It has a total of 147 members. The chairman of the National Integration Council is the Prime Minister of India. It aims to find ways to counter problems that are acting as a hurdle in the integration of the country as a whole. It aims to find ways to counter such problems regarding differences based on caste, community, language, and religion. It met for the first time in June 1963. It is a part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

National Informatics Centre is a prime science and technology-based organization of the Government of India dealing in informatics services and information and communication technology application. It was established in the year 1976. NIC gives support to the country’s central and state governments and the union territories by providing Network infrastructure and e-governance support. It also publishes its quarterly e-governance in both printed and PDF form named “Informatics”. It has a staff of around 6000 employees. It is headquartered in New Delhi. It has his regional offices in all states and districts of India. It is a part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
