USITC full form

USITC:- United States International Trade Corporation

The United States International Trade Commission and it is well known as USITC. Sometimes it is also termed as ITC. It is an independent, bipartisan, quasi-judicial, federal organization of the United States which holds the right to provide the trade expertise to both the legislative and executive branches. Moreover, the agency also figures out the impact of imports on U.S. industries and they have right to take direct actions against unfair trade practices, which incorporate such as subsidies, dumping, patent, trademark, and copyright infringement as well.

The USITC was set up by the U.S. Congress on the 8th day of September in 1916. It was earlier named as the U.S. Tariff Commission but later on, the name was changed to the U.S. International Trade Commission in 1974 by section 171 of the Trade Act of 1974. Statutory authority for the responsibilities of USITC is provided by the various legislation.
